Total Ingredients: 9

  • 1 Lb Strip Steak
  • 5 Tbsps Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbsps White Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Green Onion
  • 2 Tbsps Garlic
  • 2 Tbsps Sesame Seed
  • 2 Tbsps Sesame Oil
  • 1/2 Tsp Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Lime Juice

  • Trim excess fat from steak
  • Put steak in freezer for 30 minutes
  • Chop green onion, both green and white parts, add to bowl
  • Peel and mince garlic, add to bowl
  • Add soy sauce, white sugar, sesame seeds, sesame oil, ground black pepper and lime juice to bowl and mix until ingredients are combined
  • Remove steak from freezer and thinly slice steak, try for 1/8" slices, add to bowl
  • Toss steak in marinade until evenly coated
  • Place contents into gallon zip-lock bag and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to overnight
  • Bring cast iron skillet up to 400 degrees F
  • Add beef to skillet and cook to your liking

  • If you’re on a time crunch pick up a vacuum marinator. Place marinated meat in marinator and seal, following included instructions, for at least 30 minutes.
  • If you want to avoid refined sugar, replace sugar with 1 TBSP of honey
  • Juice fresh limes for better flavor
  • You don't need to put your steak in the freezer before slicing, it just makings it easier to get a thinner cut
