  • 1 Lb Ground Beef
  • 1 Large Onion
  • 1 Large Green Bell Pepper
  • 1 Box Spaghetti Pasta
  • 1 Jar Spaghetti Sauce
  • Salt


  • Dice Onion and green pepper, add to large pot
  • Roughly chop mushrooms, add to pot
  • Cook vegetables until onion and green pepper become soft
  • While veggies are cooking, take 2 square sheets or 4 select-a-size sheets of paper towel and fold in half
  • Place paper towels on dinner plate
  • Once veggies are cooked, empty onto dinner plate to drain excess water
  • Add ground beef to pot and cook until browned, empty onto dinner plate
  • Clean pot and fill with water, season with salt
  • Bring water to a rolling boil
  • Add pasta to pot and cook for 6-9 minutes or until noodles are soft
  • Using colander, drain water and return noodles to pot
  • Add veggies, ground beef and sauce to pot
  • Return pot to stove and heat until things are warmed through


  • Texas toast makes for a great side with this dish
  • For additional flavor, sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese before serving
  • For faster cooking, bring pot of water to a boil while cooking veggies and beef in non-stick skillet
